The Edwin Dun Memorial Park

The Edwin Dun Memorial Park is located next to Edwin Dun Memorial Museum. Dun is called the father of the livestock industry in Hokkaido since he built a barn on a cow ranch. This park is located on the original site of that barn. Visitors can see a statue of Edwin Dun here. As there is a pond in which wild birds such as ducks rest and play, visitors can relax while watching them. Visitors can also enjoy seeing cherry blossoms in spring. A picnic is an enjoyable option here. It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Makomanai Station.
