阿寒湖畔環境博物館中心 / Akankohan Eco Museum Center

阿寒湖畔環境博物館中心(位於釧路市)是阿寒湖主要觀光景點之一。是為了要向旅客介紹處於國立公園的阿寒湖有關的自然與生物的資訊的設施,由日本環境省營運的。內有展示於水槽中棲息在阿寒湖的魚類,以及特別天然紀念物的綠球藻。也有展示棕熊以及蝦夷鹿等的標本。入館參觀免費。

Akankohan Eco Museum Center (Kushiro City) is one of the highlights of tourism in the Akan area. The Ministry of the Environment manages this center in order to deliver information about flora and fauna seen around Lake Akan, which is one of Japan's national parks. In a big room, there are glass tanks containing fish found in the lake and Marimo, round green algae designated as a special natural treasure of Japan. Furthermore, a large stuffed higuma (brown bear) and ezoshika (Hokkaido deer) can be seen. A panoramic aerial photograph of Akan is displayed on the floor of the exhibition room. Admission is free.


















阿寒湖Marimu館 / Akanko Marimu Kan

阿寒湖Marimu館(位於釧路市)是面向本地居民的文化中心兼觀光旅遊資訊中心。館內放置有免費的地圖與導覽手冊。另外也設有桌椅免費提供給遊客疲累時休息。入口處也有常時湧出溫泉的手浴與足浴設施(免費使用)。在閱覽區放置許多與阿寒湖有關的書籍。

Akanko Marimu Kan (Kushiro City), which is located in the town of Lake Akan Hot Springs, is a culture center for local people and also a tourist information center. Tourist maps and other brochures are available for free. As there are tables and chairs, visitors can have a rest after meandering around the town. In front of the building, there is a place where you can enjoy teyu (hot springs for hands) and ashiyu (hot springs for feet), with a constant stream of fresh mineral water flowing. As an aside, there are a lot of books related to Lake Akan in the library.






阿寒湖 / Lake Akan

阿寒湖(位於釧路市)是道東代表性的觀光地,也有阿寒湖溫泉。在溫泉街也有建設完備的可以邊散步邊嘹望湖面的步道。在步道上有被稱作Bokke的景點。Bokke的語源是阿伊努語的Pohuke(煮沸之意)。地底下是二氧化碳,在泥沼浮起成為氣泡。阿寒湖中生長著特別天然紀念物的Marimo(綠球藻)。

Lake Akan (Kushiro City) is one of the highlights of eastern Hokkaido tourism. There is a hot spring town on the lake - Lake Akan Hot Springs. There is a walking path along the lake where people can enjoy seeing the lake itself and also the nature of the hot springs town. Visitors can also find Bokke, a well known sightseeing spot, at the end of the path. The name Bokke is derived from "pofuke (boil)" which is a word in Ainu language. At Bokke, you can see bubbling mud ponds because of carbonic acid gas. Marimo (round green algae) is a special natural treasure of Japan, and can be seen on an island in the middle of the lake. You can get a boat to the island from the main wharf.





北海道立綜合體育中心 / Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center “Hokkai KITAYELL”

北海道立綜合體育中心(位於札幌市豐平區)被愛稱為「北海KITAYELL」。它是籃球隊LEVANGA北海道,以及五人制足球隊ESPOLADA北海道的根據地。館內有免費參觀的運動相關資料室。除了有出生於北海道的奧運會出場選手們的紀錄與資料之外,也展示著相關紀念品。

Hokkaido Prefectural Sports Center “Hokkai KITAYELL” (Sapporo City Toyohira-ku) is built for people to enjoy sports. There is a gymnasium and other sports-related facilities such as gym machines. Kitayell is the base of Levanga Hokkaido, who represent Hokkaido in Japan's basketball league. It is also the base for Espolada Hokkaido who compete in Japan's futsal - room football- league. There is a library like a museum in the building, showing results and a range of information about athletes from Hokkaido who have participated in past Olympic Games and displays different equipment that athletes used. This library is free of charge.

中山峠森之美術館 / Nakayama Toge Museum

中山峠森之美術館(位於喜茂別町)是比鄰於道路休息站「望羊中山」可免費入場的美術館。常時展示有約100件以北海道內作家為主的作品(水彩畫、油畫、版畫、雕刻、工藝作品等)。此道路休息站與美術館位於國道230號道路旁,以從札幌開車到二世谷、洞爺湖方向的中途休息地點而著名。

Nakayama Toge Museum (Kimobetsu Town) is attached to the road station - Bouyou Nakayama - and anyone can enjoy it free of charge. They always exhibit over 100 artworks created by artists who are mainly reside in Hokkaido. A variety of artwork
(watercolor paintings, oil paintings, woodcut prints, copperplate engravings, etchings, lithographs, sculptures and other crafts) are exhibited here. The location of this complex (road station and museum) is on route 230. When going to Niseko or Lake Toya from Sapporo, route 230 is the quickest and most popular road. Even when the road station is full of people, this museum is usually a quiet and peaceful place to visit.








岩見沢車站 / Iwamizawa Station

岩見沢車站(位於岩見沢市)是同時兼具了鐵路車站與市民交流場所的復合型設施。內有市民藝廊、可舉辦小型演唱會的場所、還有觀光情報中心。此車站房舍也以使用舊時的鐵軌作為建材來設計而受到矚目。也有展示古老的鐵軌以及北海道教育大學的活動的空間。

Iwamizawa Station (Iwamizawa City) consists of multiple facilities, including the station and a community center for general activities. Free art galleries, a public space for small music concerts, and a tourist information center are some of the things you can find there. The design of this station is unique because old railway rails are used in the construction. As this building got an award for unique architecture, it is admired by those who like design. There is a small place exhibiting old rails and the ideas behind the construction. Iwamizawa was an important transit point when the coal industry prospered there and Japan imported rails from the USA, the UK, and German.









SORACHI煤礦的記憶管理中心 / Sorachi Coalmine Heritage Management Center

SORACHI煤礦的記憶管理中心(位於岩見沢市)是將構築北海道經濟基礎的煤礦介紹給現代人的活動據點。從19世紀後半開始的數十年間,空知地區以北海道的煤礦產地而繁榮。這個管理中心是於2009年時在岩見沢車站附近所建造的。除了展示煤礦產業的資料之外,也可以舉行美術展覽。

Sorachi Coalmine Heritage Management Center (Iwamizawa City) is a facility to educate today's people of how coal mines contributed to Hokkaido's economy in the days of old. Sorachi District was well known for its coal mining industry and prospered for several decades starting in the late 19th century. However, all the coal mines have since closed down. This management center was established in 2009 by making use of an old stone warehouse, and is near Iwamizawa Station. Not only are materials about old coal mines in Sorachi displayed here, but also art events are sometimes held here. Iwamizawa City is the biggest city in the Sorachi District.










弁天歷史公園 / Benten Historical Park

弁天歷史公園(位於石狩市)是以作為因鮭魚而發展的歷史象徵的場所而建造而成的。除了在遊客中心有小型的觀光諮詢中心之外,也展示著捕鮭魚的舊照片。這裡雖然不是大型的公園,但是有可以在戶外舉辦露天劇的廣場。也有可以一邊眺望和風庭園一邊舉行茶會的租借場所。

Benten Historical Park (Ishikari City) was constructed to symbolize Ishikari's prosperity from catching salmon. In the visitor center, a tourist information room shows many old photos that inform visitors about how a lot of salmon were caught there. Also, canned salmon products are exhibited. This park is not so large, but there is an open space where people can enjoy watching outdoor performances such as plays. Furthermore, there is an traditional Japanese house with a garden. It is possible to rent this house for events such as tea ceremonies or haiku poem writing.


























佛願寺 / Butsugan-ji Temple

佛願寺(位於札幌市南區)以有巨大的涅槃大佛而著名。將佛教世界觀的形式呈現於庭院中。(表現出存在於現世的地上世界以及極樂淨土的世界等二個世界。)設計這個庭院的北山安夫也有直接企劃過京都或鎌倉的寺院的庭院設計。地點位於國道453號線旁,靠近札幌藝術之森。

Butsugan-ji Temple (Sapporo City, Minami-ku) is famous for its very big reclining Buddha (Nirvana Buddha). The garden was designed to depict images of the worlds of Buddhism. (both the world where people on earth are living, and the world of the promised land - a place of complete bliss, delight and peace.) This garden was designed by Yasuo Kitayama, a famous garden artist of Japan. His other works can be seen at famous temples in historical places in Japan such as Kyoto or Kamakura. Butsugan-ji is on route 453, and it is near Sapporo Art Park.








櫻井家住宅舊址與屯田兵屋 / The Old Sakurai Residence and Tondenhei Residence and Facilities

櫻井家住宅舊址與屯田兵屋(位於美唄是)位在通過市區的主要道路國道12號線旁。所謂的屯田兵是於19世紀後半為了防衛與開拓北海道所派遣的士兵。美唄是北海道唯一有配置屯田兵的砲兵部隊和騎兵隊的地區。當時的房子、牛舍與馬棚、火藥庫等建築被保存了下來。櫻井邸是美唄元町長的住宅。

The Old Sakurai Residence and Tondenhei Residence and Facilities (Bibai City) are along Route 12, which is the main road into Bibai. Tondenhei refers to the soldiers responsible for developing and guarding Hokkaido who were sent to Hokkaido from Honshu Island in the late 19th century. Bibai was the only place where Tondenhei's artillery and cavalry units were placed. One of their typical residences, a barn and an explosives warehouse are preserved in the same place as the Old Sakurai Residence. Ryozou Sakurai and his son used to be mayor in the early 20th century. Sakurai's house is used as a public hall.








河川防災所 / The Rivers and Disaster Prevention Center

河川防災所(位於江別市)位於石狩川與千歲川合流處的國道12號線旁。防災所內有以模型或是面板來介紹石狩川的歷史,以及受到河川各式各樣恩惠的展示空間。此地作為災害情報資訊推廣的據點,也有展示防災用品。也有販賣江別市土特產的商店。從屋頂上的展望台所嘹望的景色也非常美麗。

The Rivers and Disaster Prevention Center (Ebetsu City) is on Route 12, and is located on a sandbank between Ishikari and Chitose Rivers. In the center, there is a showroom like a museum featuring the history of Ishikari River, and information on the various benefits from rivers using models and information panels. This center is the base of natural disaster prevention in Ebetsu, and they exhibit special supplies for disasters. There is also a shop which sells Ebetsu's local specialty foods and such on the first floor. The view from the observation deck on the roof is beautiful.









夕陽之丘 / Sunset Hill (Yuhi-no Oka)

夕陽之丘(位於石狩市)以看得到美麗的夕陽而著名。停車場有觀光資訊中心,小賣店則有販賣輕食、冰淇淋等食品,以及許願的鎖匙(冬季期間關閉)。山側則是厚田公園。這裏以「戀人的聖地」而聞名,鎖匙則是到訪此地的情侶們為了許願而鎖上的。旅行者要來此必須得租車前往。


Sunset Hill, Yuhi-no Oka in Japanese, (Ishikari City) is famous for the beautiful view of the sunset. This is located along Route 231, with Atsuta Park is on the opposite side. There is a visitor center and a shop adjacent to the parking, and they sell of local snacks and ice cream as well as padlocks. The shop is not open in winter. As Atsuta Park is known as a place for lovers, some couples attach their padlock to a bar located on the top of the hill in the park. As transportation is not convenient, tourists will need a rental car.
