鳥取百年館 / Tottori Hyakunen Kan

Tottori Hyakunen Kan (Kushiro City) literally means Tottori Hundred Years Museum. This is a historical museum where we can learn of the history of Kushiro City. In 1884, a group of people arrived here from Tottori Prefecture in order to cultivate the land, and they named this new place Tottori. In this museum, some spears and swords, everyday goods and agricultural tools from those days are exhibited. Some of them are very helpful to study modern history. In 1984, the museum was built to celebrate 100 years of farming in the area. This museum is located in the precinct of the Tottori Shrine.
