Buna-no Komich

Buna-no Komich (Kuromatsunai Town) is a Japanese beech forest, which can be explored even in a short time. It takes 20 minutes return to follow the path in the woods, even at a slow walking pace. This small forest is near the Buna Center, which provides information on the town (buna means Japanese beech.) Kuromatsunai Town features the northernmost growth of wild Japanese beech trees, so it’s the symbol of the town. There are two choices of footpath, through either the natural forest or the town area. Buna-no Komichi is not large and it is easy to enjoy forest bathing.
