Men Yoh牧場 / Menyou Bokujyo

Men Yoh

Menyou Bokujyo (Yagishiri Island) is home to a lot of sheep. As such, the name stands for sheep farm in English. About 200 Suffolk sheep are raised on the plains of the island. Yagishiri Island is quite small (12 kilometers in circumference), but there are no natural predators for sheep. They can be put out to graze in an environment where they won’t feel any stress. Also, the pasture grass contains a little salt and other minerals on account of the sea breeze continuously blowing over the grass. The meat here is recognized as softer, and to have a less pronounced smell of meat, so it’s a well-known brand in Hokkaido.
