In the beginning of September in Sapporo

In the beginning of September, the highest temperature on a day is usually around 25 degrees, while the temperature can get down to around 20 degrees. Hokkaido locals usually wear short sleeve shirts, but it is not common to wear shorts. Until global warming saw temperatures rise, wearing long sleeve shirts was common in Hokkaido. One good thing these temperatures bring is the best season for corn grown in the fields of Hokkaido, rather than in a greenhouse. This is because of the temperature difference between the daytime and night.
