Pink Moss Hill

Pink Moss Hill (Kutchan Town) is in Asahigaoka Park. The original name in Japanese is Shibazakura-no -Oka. Shibazakura means pink moss in English. It blooms around the end of May. A field approximately 3,000 square meters in size on the side of the hill becomes pink at the height of the flowering season. From this hill, visitors can see Mt. Yotei very well. This mountain has the nickname of Ezo Fuji as it has an appearance very similar to Mt. Fuji's. The photo showing the beautiful combination of Mt. Yotei and Pink Moss Hill is on the official website of Kutchan Town.
