Shinsen-numa Marsh

Shinsen-numa Marsh (Kyowa Town) is the biggest marsh in Shinsen-numa Wetland, which is at an elevation of 765 meters. It was discovered in 1927. The name of this marsh is derived from gods and legendary wizards, on account of the landscape having a sense of where these legendary beings may have lived. From the parking area, you can walk to Shinsen-numa Marsh on a boardwalk. It takes about 40 minutes return. Furthermore, there is another path leading to other marshes. Shinsen-numa Marsh is famous for seeing colored leaves in autumn. There is a small eating establishment, and toilet facilities are available.
