北海道政府舊址（紅磚辦公樓） / The former Hokkaido Government Office Building (Red Brick Office)

北海道政府舊址（紅磚辦公樓）是美國風格的新巴羅克式建築，於1888年所建成。建築物本身做為北海道政府辦公樓被使用約80年左右。有許多觀光客以此建築物為背景拍攝紀念照片，但其實是可以免費入館參觀的。館內有許多可以學習到北海道歷史的展示物。建築物周圍的腹地有森林和池塘，也設有長椅但冬天會被積雪所覆蓋無法使用。

The former Hokkaido Government Office Building (Red Brick Office) was constructed in 1888. The building was designed using the American neo-baroque architectural style. The local government was housed here for 80 years until the present government office building was constructed. Many tourists take their photos in front of the famous red brick building, but it is also possible to enter it free of charge. There are many exhibits to help people discover the history of Hokkaido. On the premises, you can see a small wood and a pond. There are benches there although they are covered with snow in winter.
