Most of them aren't usually located in main urban areas.) Kayano Station was on the Horonai Line and it fulfilled an important role for the hemp fabric industry. However, the line and the Kayano Station were abandoned in 1987.

In the middle of October in Sapporo

In the middle of October in Sapporo, the highest temperature is usually around 15 degrees. The lowest temperature is typically between 5 to 10 degrees in the early morning or late at night. Mountain passes on main roads around Hokkaido sometimes get a little snow. Although the snow will melt in the sun by around lunchtime, when the weather is bad it may remain all day. However, there is no snow in the center of Sapporo. Those traveling by rental car should be careful. As for clothing, extra thin outer wear is useful. The sunrise is just before 6 and the sunset is just before 5 o'clock.
