Kamaei

「KAMAEI」是北海道內首屈一指的老舖魚板製造業者。在小樽市的觀光區-堺町大道幾乎是正中央的位置附近有工廠和直營門市。有參觀工廠專用的看台，可以透過玻璃觀察到製造過程。並且隨時播放解說影片。招牌商品是在麵包上塗上魚漿後用油炸的魚漿麵包卷。在札幌也有分店。

Kamaei is one of the most famous kamaboko (steamed minced-fish paste) makers in Hokkaido. Their headquarters is in Otaru City, and their factory is located almost in the middle of Sakaimachi-dori Street, a highlight of Otaru tourism. The factory houses a shop selling products directly from the factory, and a show window from which to observe the production process. Their main production time is from 9 a.m. to noon. Whenever the shop is open, a 10 minute informational movie is on loop. Their most famous product is their Pan Roll (deep fried bread with kamaboko). They also have branches in Sapporo.

田中酒造 / Tanaka Shuzoh

田中酒造（位於小樽市）於1899年創業。本店的店鋪是於1927年所建的二層木造建築，被指定爲小樽市的歷史建築物。在復原了宛如創業當時的裝飾的店內展示著古老的招牌和帳簿等物品，可以感受到昔日酒舖的氛圍。也可以試飲各種商品。在小樽市內其他地方也有被稱作龜甲藏的工廠。

Tanaka Shuzoh (Otaru City) is a Japanese sake brewery founded in 1899. The main building of this facility is a two-storey wooden building, which is now designated as an important historical building of Otaru. The interior of the building was refurbished to show old relics from when the brewery was established. Old paraphernalia such as signboards and account books in use back then are on display. Visitors can feel the nostalgia and learn about the old building interior. There is also free sampling of the brewery’s wares. The company has another factory in a different part of the city called Kikkogura.

毛無山展望台 / Kenashi Yama Observatory

毛無山展望台（位於小樽市）位於標高470m的地點，可以遠眺到市區的街景和石狩灣。在晴天時甚至可以遠眺到增毛町的群山，因此據說對於很在意頭髮稀疏的人來說，這裡是可帶來好運的地方。（從無頭髮-毛無，可以看到增加頭髮-增毛。）瞭望台就在聯繫小樽市、赤井川村和俱之安町的國道393號道路沿線上（這裡也是楓之街道～沿路有很多楓樹）。觀賞夜景和秋天的紅葉觀賞也很有名。

Kenashi Yama Observatory (Otaru City) is located 470 meters up Mt. Kenashi. It allows people to see the city and Ishikari Bay. On a good day, visitors can even see the mountains of Mashike Town. Kenashi means bald head and Mashike means having hair regrowth; so people say, in jest, that this is a lucky spot for those who want hair. This observatory is on Route 393 which connects Otaru with Akaigawa Village and Kuchan Town. It is also called Maple Road because there are a lot of maple trees. The night view is beautiful, and taking in the colored leaves is popular in autumn.

Wave Street 和 Bay Terrace / Wave Street and Bay Terrace in Wing Bay Otaru

Wave Street 和 Bay Terrace是位於Wing Bay 小樽的靠海側4樓的免費休息處。Wave Street除了設有椅子之外，也有販賣飲料的自動販賣機。Bay Terrace是可以看到遊艇碼頭和大海的戶外休息處，特別在夏天是個非常舒適的地方。Wing Bay 小樽是與JR小樽築港站直接連結的大型商場。

Wave Street and Bay Terrace in Wing Bay Otaru - a huge shopping mall - are places for people to have rest for free. Both places are on the fourth floor of this commercial complex, located on the sea facing side. There are many chairs at Wave Street, and some drinks vending machines. People can spend a comfortable time there. Alternatively, people can take in good views from Bay Terrace which is an open space like a huge deck. A yacht harbor and the ocean are just in front of Bay Terrace. It's very nice especially in summer.

小樽雪燈之路 / The Snow Light Path : Edited in 2016

小樽雪燈之路（位於小樽市）是從1999年開始的冬季祭典。用冰或雪所做的容器或擺飾內擺放著蠟燭，隨著夕暮來臨點燃燭光。主要會場位在小樽運河和廢止的舊鐵道線路上。在黑暗中街道轉變爲夢幻的氛圍。其他的觀光景點也以燭光妝點著。小樽雪燈之路的期間為2月上旬到2月中旬。

The Snow Light Path (Otaru City) is a popular winter event which started in 1999. Candles are displayed beside, or covered by containers or artistic objects made of snow or ice. Star and owl shaped objects seem popular. As the sun goes down, all the candles are lit and their cold lanterns deliver faint warm light. In the dark, the mood created by the ice candles feels magical. Otaru Canal and the former railway line are the main sites of the paths. While these are the main two sites for the candle displays, many sightseeing spots in Otaru have candle displays. The path is open from the beginning to the middle of February.

小樽運河 / Otaru Canal

小樽運河是最受到矚目的小樽觀光景點。沿著運河佇立著許多石造的建築物(昔日是作為倉庫所建造的)，這些建築物便成為港口都市小樽的象徵。小樽運河是於1923年時建造完成，當初建造的目的是要使大型船舶能停泊在更靠近倉庫的地方。從現今的風貌雖然很難想像，但過去有段時間小樽運河受到汙泥的汙染而變得很髒。在1986年時規劃成今日這般美麗的風貌，沿著運河設有步道，不管是夏季或是冬季都可以享受在運河旁散步的樂趣。

Otaru Canal is the signature of Otaru City, and is famous for sight-seeing. There are original stone warehouses on one side of the canal (which now house restaurants and such), and the other side has a stone-paved path for pedestrians. Its scenery makes visitors feel that Otaru is a harbor city. The canal was constructed in 1923, and its purpose was for big ships to dock outside warehouses for loading. After years, this canal got to be very dirty and clogged with sludge, as hard as that may be to believe looking at it now. In 1986, the was restored to its present condition. You can enjoy walking along it both in summer and winter.

Kamaei(日文店名為かま栄) / Kamaei

Kamaei (Otaru City) is a very old kamaboko maker, established in 1905. Kamaboko is boiled fish paste. They sell a variety of kamaboko products at their 12 branches throughout Hokkaido, and their factory is located between Otaru Canal and the very popular tourist site - Sakaimachi Street. You can observe the production process of the kamaboko through the show window for free. As the main production time at the factory is in the morning, it is wise to visit before 12.00 p.m. This factory is connected to a shop which also has seating for diners. No reservations are needed for the restaurant. Their most popular product is Pan Roll, which is rolled kamaboko with a slice of bread. Pan means bread in English.

Kamaei(日文店名為かま栄，位於小樽市）是從1095年開業後持續營業至今的魚漿製品老店。它在北海道內成立了12間店面。在因觀光客而熱鬧的堺町通和小樽運河之間的工廠可以免費參觀魚板製作的過程，而且不用事先申請。魚板製造的尖峰時段是在上午，因此如果要去參觀的話中午之前去比較好。想吃點點心的話我推薦Kamaei的魚板，最受歡迎的產品是在麵包上抹上魚漿後再炸過的魚漿麵包卷。

LeTAO總店 / LeTAO's head shop

LeTAO是以小樽市為主要據點營運的西式甜點店。位於堺町通的LeTAO總店（位於小樽市）設有免費參觀的展望台，是個可瞭望小樽海景的休息據點。LeTAO免費發放自家的巧克力給來堺町通遊玩的人試吃。除了巧克力之外，LeTAO的起司蛋糕和烘培點心也很受歡迎，商品種類豐富。

LeTAO is a confectionery chain with shops mainly in Otaru. Its head shop is located at Marchen Crossroad on Sakaimachi Street, which is a popular street for tourists as there are many unique shops to be found. There is an observation floor and visitors can enter it free of charge. A beautiful sea vista can be seen from there. The shops usually offer small samples of their chocolate for tasting on the street. They have wide range of products from chocolates to pastry. Their cheese cake has a very soft texture and it is among the most popular of Otaru's souvenirs.

SOUVENIR OTARUKAN小木桶 / Souvenir Otaru Kan

SOUVENIR OTARUKAN小木桶（位於小樽市）是位於堺町通的大型土產店。這家店的主題是萬花筒，因此在店內的藝廊展示約1000件萬花筒，也販賣萬花筒。（商品以外的萬花筒是只作為展示用，不能拍照攝影也不可觸碰。）可免費入場參觀，也可付費製作自己原創的萬花筒。

Souvenir Otaru Kan (Otaru City) is a big souvenir shop located on Sakaimachi Street. They mainly sell kaleidoscopes; and there is also a gallery, which is free to enter. Some old and precious kaleidoscopes are for exhibition only, but there are more than 1,000 kaleidoscope products on sale. Touching the old kaleidoscopes is prohibited, and taking photos is prohibited throughout the shop. A unique experience at this shop is making one's own kaleidoscope with your favorite parts. There is a big stuffed Higuma bear in front of the entrance. There are, of course, typical souvenirs such as chocolates or cookies for purchase also.

WING BAY小樽 / Wing Bay Otaru

WING BAY小樽是位於小樽市的大型商場，從超市到電影院、溫泉設施在內都找得到。WING BAY小樽與JR小樽築港車站(離小樽車站往札幌方向兩站的距離）。設施內的美食廣場內有烏龍麵、壽司等飲食店、中午吃飯時間時附近居民也常利用因此非常熱鬧。在這你可以用合理的價格享用日式料理，此外也有咖啡廳等許多其他種類的餐廳在此。

Wing Bay Otaru (Otaru City) is a large shopping mall which houses a super market, a movie theater and even an onsen facility. It is connected to JR Otaru Chikko Station; which is two stops from JR Otaru Station going toward Sapporo. There is an udon noodle shop and a sushi shop in the food court. Many local people often frequent this food court, especially at lunch time. Tourists can eat Japanese food at reasonable prices here too. In addition to this, there are many restaurants and coffee shops at Wing Bay. A good place to visit to eat, shop, and relax after enjoying sightseeing in the center of Otaru.

築港臨海公園 / Chikko Rinkai Park (Chikko Seaside Park)

築港臨海公園（位於小樽市）位於大型商場WING BAY小樽的對面。從JR小樽築港車站有天橋步道連結此地。雖然在冬天時公園就只有被積雪所覆蓋著，但對於想摸摸看白雪的觀光客而言築港臨海公園或許是個有趣的地方（當地居民在冬天時幾乎不會使用公園）。公園內也設有長椅，春天到秋天的這段時間公園便是沿著海岸的免費休息處。

Chikko Rinkai Park (Otaru City) is located in front of Wing Bay Otaru, which is a large shopping mall and outlet center. Its English name is Chikko Seaside Park, and it is connected to JR Otaru Chikko Station by a pedestrian footbridge. In winter, the park is completely covered in snow. It might be an interesting spot for tourists from countries with hot weather. They can have fun in the snow before or after looking around Wing Bay Otaru. There are seats in the park, and from spring to autumn, it is surely a good place to take a rest by the seaside.

田中酒造（龜甲藏）/ Tanaka Shuzoh (Kikkogura)

田中酒造（位於小樽市）是老牌的日本清酒製造業者，於1899年創立。遊客可以免費參加制酒工廠（龜甲藏）的導覽行程。另外有約10種的日本酒可以免費試飲。從JR南小樽車站步行10分鐘便可抵達田中酒造，從堺町通的童話十字路口（Meruhen交叉點，LeTAO總店的所在位置）則步行約15分鐘。龜甲藏的建築被指定為小樽市的歷史建築，全年無休。

Tanaka Shuzoh (Otaru City) is a well-established, and well-known Japanese sake maker established in 1899. Visitors can enjoy seeing their factory (Kikkogura) free of charge. There are also 10 original sake products available for tasting. It takes 10 minutes from JR Minami Otaru Station to Kikkogura by foot; or 15 minutes from the Marchen Crossroads (known as Meruhen Kousaten in Japanese) which is in front of LeTAO confectionery’s head shop. Kikkogura Factory is classified as one of Otaru’s important historical buildings. They are open 365 days.

音樂盒堂 / Orgel Doh

音樂盒堂（位於小樽市）是販賣音樂盒、雜貨與飾品的公司。音樂盒堂擁有許多店鋪，位於小樽堺町通的2號館古董博物館內展示著許多歷史上貴重的音樂盒。館內也有展示1908年英國製的管風琴。管風琴演奏會一天舉行6次，可免費觀賞。佇立在小樽音樂盒堂本館前的蒸汽時鐘也是著名的觀光景點。

Orgel Doh (Otaru City) sells music boxes, high-quality small articles for everyday life, and accessories. Orgel is a Dutch word which means music box. The Antique Museum (Otaru Music Box Museum Building No.2) on Sakaimachi Street has a large display of historically valuable antique music boxes, and a pipe organ made in England in 1908. They hold a free show (several music boxes and the pipe organ) six times a day. There is also a big steam clock in front of the main building of the Otaru Music Box Museum.

北一哨子 / Kitaichi Glass

北一哨子（位於小樽市）是從事各式玻璃製品生產和販賣的公司。在北海道開拓時代小樽市是以港口都市來發展的，在當時北一哨子於小樽市開始製造石油燈，之後也生產漁業用的玻璃浮球，北一哨子便成為小樽市的代表企業。在北一哨子位於小樽堺町通的工房可以免費觀看玻璃食器、雜貨或飾品的現場製作。

Kitaichi Glass (Otaru City) is a company which makes and sells various glass commodities. When Otaru City developed as a harbor city during Japan's expansion into Hokkaido, Kitaichi Glass started to produce oil lamps, and they used glass for these lamps. They later started making glass fishing floats and became known as one of Otaru's bigger companies. Glass tableware, general goods made of glass, and glass accessories are their main products now. They have several shops in Otaru, including a shop located on Sakaimachi Street which has a studio where visitors can see the products being made right in front of their eyes.
