Oshinkoshin瀑布 / Oshinkoshin Falls

Oshinkoshin瀑布（位於斜里町）落差約有50公尺，瀑布的寬度也很寬。Oshinkoshin在阿伊努語中有蝦夷松樹的群生地的意思。從位在國道334號線上的停車場到瀑布的中央部之間可以走階梯來近距離觀賞。是北海道的有名瀑布之一，而且也被選為日本的瀑布100選。因為可以看到兩個瀑布並列，因此又被稱為雙美瀑布。

Oshinkoshin Falls (Shari) is the biggest easily accessible waterfall in the Shiretoko district. It is 50 meters high and is very wide. Oshinkoshin means a place where ezomatsu, a common pine tree of Hokkaido, grows a lot in Ainu language. It’s located on Route 334. From the parking area, there is a path with steps to the middle of the falls; from where visitors can enjoy the splendid view. This famous waterfall features in Japan’s top 100 Waterfalls. It looks like two waterfalls’ combined, with it’s other name being Soubi-no Taki, which means a pair of beautiful waterfalls.

10月下旬的札幌 / In Sapporo at the end of October

10月下旬的札幌的最高氣溫在暖的時候為15度。也有時候最低氣溫會降到5度以下。這時期札幌市區內下雪是很罕見的，但到了山區隘口附近也會看到山頭已經有積雪。要預定通過隘口的車輛必須得更換冬季用輪胎。穿著薄外套有時候會感覺到冷，但是穿著深冬用的厚外套看起來又覺得太熱。這個時期建議穿著容易穿脫可以調整體感溫度的服裝。

In Sapporo at the end of October, the highest temperature on a warm day is around 15 degrees, and the lowest temperature on a chilly day is below five degrees. In residential areas, snow is still uncommon, but, passes in mountain areas are sometimes covered with thin snow. If one needs to drive there, winter tires are necessary. A thin coat is acceptable. but won’t suffice on a cold day. However, a winter thick coat would be excessive. The best choice is to have one which is easy to carry, and put on and take off easily.

岩內渡假公園·海景 / Iwanai Resort Park-Marine View

岩內渡假公園·海景（位於岩內町）位在可以嘹望街區的景色跟海景的高台上。白天是岩內港和積丹半島的風景，夜晚是漁火點點和滿天繁星的美麗風景。雖然使用露營場需要費用，但公園以及展望台是免費的。附近也有溫泉設施。從街區開車到這裡約15分鐘。小孩子的遊樂設施也可以免費使用。

Iwanai Resort Park-Marine View (Iwanai) is on a hill from where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of both the whole of Iwanai, and the Sea of Japan. During the day, Iwanai Port and Shakotan Peninsula can be easily admired. At night, the lights of fishing boats and stars in the sky are very beautiful. This is actually a paid camping site, but the parking area with an observation point is free of charge. There are onsen facilities nearby. A playground for children is also free. It takes about 15 minutes by car from the center of the town.
