M7.8館 / M7.8 Panel Cabin

M7.8館（位於白糠町）位在國道38號線旁的休息用停車場。1993年1月15日在釧路外海發生了芮氏規模7.8的地震，為了要將當時因這個地震而導致的受災情況和恐懼傳達給後世而設置了這個設施。雖然是很大的地震但死者人數只有兩名。木造的小屋當中有地震的數據和照片等資料。這裡有廁所因此很適合作為兜風途中的休息場所。

M7.8 Panel Cabin (Shiranuka Town) is an earthquake memorial hut at the parking space on Route 38. This log house-like building was constructed in remembrance of the Kushiro-oki Earthquake. “Kushiro-oki” stands for “Kushiro-off” in English. The earthquake killed two people. This wood hut displays information panels of geographic data and what damage was incurred, as well as photos of newspaper articles. There are also toilet facilities. While this is a useful spot, a place for rest while driving, the scope of the cabin doesn’t really reach that of a museum.
