Hakomart is the name of an event where paper boxes designed by commercial designers and artists in Japan are sold. The boxes themselves are called Hakomart as the name of the series of products. Hakomart is a word coined from Hako - which means box in Japanese, and mart - as market. Morita, which is a paper box maker in Sapporo, started this project in 2012. These paper boxes are strong enough to use for daily life as they use very hard paper as the construction material. Moreover, some people buy them for gifts. Information about the event which sells Hakomart is on their Facebook page.
