Fukidashi Park

Fukidashi Park (Kyogoku Town) is located at the bottom of Mt Yotei. (Fukidashi stands for 'gushing out'. ) Very clear water springs continuously from the ground, and it is possible to drink it directly with not treatment. The place to drink and gather water is well set-up, and it looks as if it is a sacred place. In summer, people can drink very cold water. Anyone can fill their own bottles or plastic containers without paying, but good manners are requested - for example not occupying more than one drinking fountain. There is also a hill in the park. Visitors can climb a straight staircase with more than 200 steps, and can look over the town.
