莫埃來沼公園 / Moerenuma Park

莫埃來沼公園是作為以綠地包圍札幌市的「環城綠化帶構想」，於2005年完成的。構想者是雕刻家-野口勇。其設計概念為「整體即是一個雕塑作品」。公園的特徵是噴泉、人口造山、玻璃的金字塔等幾何學造型的設計。公園是利用原本的垃圾處理場的舊址所建成，從自然環境保護的觀點來看也受到矚目。

Moerenuma Park was opened in 2005 after 23 years of construction. This park is the symbol of Sapporo's Green Belt project, which surrounds the city with a green zone. The basic design was created by Isamu Noguchi, a sculptor who lived in America. His concept was “the whole being a single sculpture.” There are large symbolic and geometric objects such as a big fountain, two artificial mountains, and a big glass-made pyramid. This park used to be a waste treatment plant, but then it was converted to a unique park. The park is a great example of protecting nature and conservation.
