中島公園日本庭園 / The Japanese Garden in Nakajima Park

中島公園日本庭園（位於札幌市中央區）除了有大池塘、岩石庭院、燈籠、涼亭之外，還擁有被指定為國家指定重要文化財的茶室「八窗庵」。八窗庵雖然是很小的建築物，但透過有效地利用從八個窗戶照進來的日光使狹小的空間讓人感覺很寬廣。茶室內部很可惜的不能參觀。這裡是在札幌市中心正統而且傳統的日本庭園。

The Japanese Garden in Nakajima Park (Sapporo City, Chuo-ku) has a big pond, a stone garden, a stone lantern, a tree growing house as well as a tea house designated as Japan's Important Cultural Property. The name of this tea house is Hasso-an, which stands for house with eight windows. It is quite small but the sunlight from the eight windows effectively makes people inside feel that the it is big enough. However, entering Hasso-an is off-limits for visitors. This Japanese garden is authentic and traditional, even in the busy center of Sapporo.
