白銀之瀑 / Shiragane Waterfall

白銀之瀑（位於石狩市）在沿著海岸線通行的國道231號線上。隆冬時期瀑布的水會結凍成巨大的冰柱。可以休息的停車場裡面也有廁所。因為引導到白銀之瀑的指示牌設置的很少所以也有很多車子就開過頭沒有發現。連結札幌市與留萌市的道路上有很多很長的隧道。這裡被廣為認知為開闢道路的難關，在1981年時總算開通了。

Shiragane Waterfall (Ishikari City) is on Route 231 which runs along the coastline of the Sea of Japan. In mid winter, the water freezes and the waterfall becomes a big icicle. There is a parking area which has toilet facilities, so this is a good place for those traveling by car to take a rest. Please note that the waterfall and the parking is not well signposted, and many people miss it as a result. There are many tunnels on this national road which connects Sapporo and Rumoi City. The construction of this road was very difficult, but it was finally completed in 1981.
