風蓮湖 / Lake Fuuren

風蓮湖（位於根室市和別海町）為鹹水湖，被登錄在以濕地的環境保護為目的的「拉姆薩條約」中。北海道內的鹹水湖當中，其周圍長度接近96公里為北海道第一。被包圍在稱作春国岱的長型沙洲中。這裡也是日本國內最大的藿香玫瑰的群生地。天鵝也會飛來過冬。在根室的道路休息站設有展望台。

Lake Fuuren (Nemuro City and Betsukai Town) is a brackish lake registered with the Ramsar Convention, which is an international treaty for the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands. This lake is the largest brackish lake in Hokkaido, with a shoreline of 96 kilometers. This lake was created by Shunkunitai, a long sandbank facing Nemuro Gulf. The biggest cluster of Hamanasu (Rugosa rose) is there. Wild migratory birds such as swans come here to pass the winter. There is an observation deck at Swan 44 Nemuro which is the road station in Nemuro city, on route 44.
