Buna Center

Buna Center (Kuromatsunai Town) is a learning facility concerning various facets of the buna (Japanese beech tree,) and a community museum exhibiting information panels of nature in the town, and local history and industry. Toys made of buna wood are free for children to enjoy playing with, as well as a pool full of golf-ball size wooden balls. Kids can enjoy as if they were swimming there. Also, there are studios to enjoy making wood craft and pottery. There is a walking path surrounded by beech trees. Kuromatsunai is the northernmost stand of wild Japanese beech trees.
