札幌丁香節 / The Sapporo Lilac Festival

札幌丁香節是札幌的春天風情詩。丁香節在每年的5月中旬至下旬於大通公園和川下公園（位於札幌市白石區）舉行。到時大通公園會有約400棵的丁香樹來百花齊放。另外還有小吃攤位和音樂會等活動而非常熱鬧。川下公園也會有演唱會等活動。丁香樹是於1960年時被指定為札幌的市樹。

The Sapporo Lilac Festival reminds Sapporo citizens of that they are in the midst of spring. This festival is held in both Odori Park (downtown) and Kawashimo Park (Shiroishi-ku) from the middle to the end of May every year. There are more than 400 lilac trees in Odori Park, and they bloom around this season and are so beautiful. In addition, many of Hokkaido's local specialty food shops and wagons open there for this festival. Special events such as music concerts are also held there, and in Kawashimo Park. Lilac was designated as the official tree of Sapporo in 1960.
