三笠地質公園 / Mikasa Geopark

三笠地質公園（位於三笠市）是日本39處地質公園的其中之一。在三笠市曾挖掘出許多菊石化石，另外三笠市也被登錄為曾經以煤礦而興榮的礦都。這裡是可以暢快享受一億年前的時空旅行的地方。總共有6個區域，在這裡可以參觀到已經關閉的煤礦坑的遺跡，以及證明過去這裡曾經是海底的地層和化石。

Mikasa Geopark (Mikasa City) is one of 39 sites designated as Geoparks in Japan. Geo refers to the earth. Mikasa City is known as a place where a lot of ammonite fossils have been discovered, and as a place where coal mines once flourished. Visitors can enjoy both ancient and modern artifacts, as if they were time travelers from one million years in the future. There are six areas of interest in the city for tourists. The highlights are closed coal mines and their town, which used to be a hive of activity and geologic stratum or fossils which are proof of the city having once been underwater.
