「當心動物」的交通警告標示，各位在北海道駕車時常常會看到吧。對於觀光客來說，這種很有北海道氣氛的當心動物的警告標示十分有趣。最常見到的警告標示有設置在全北海道內的蝦夷鹿的標示。其他的還有北狐、狸貓、松鼠、北海道棕熊的標誌。在道東還有存在著注意丹頂鶴的標誌。

Road signs warning of animals on the road can sometimes be seen while traveling around Hokkaido by car. For foreign tourists, the designs of the sign may be interesting because they can give an idea of the typical animals which live in Hokkaido. The most frequently seen sign indicates the Ezo Deer, as it is present all over Hokkaido. Other designs are of the Ezo Red Fox, Ezo Raccoon Dog, Ezo Squirrel and Brown Bear. Interestingly, in eastern Hokkaido, there are Red Crowned Crane signs, but they are few and far between.
