Mame Dome (Honbetsu Town) is an art gallery
on the grounds of Mameya Tokachi Okamedou Honke, which is a famous bean snack
factory, recognized just as Okamedou. Mame Dome literally means Bean Dome in
English. They show a large number of different goods related to Okame. Okame is
a Japanese traditional character who is a woman of legend. Characters with
round faces have long been a part of Japanese culture, as they are a kind of
lucky charm. The company name is derived from Okame. They exhibit about 150
items of Okame's pictures, face masks and artistic objects.
