SIKAOI / Shikaoi

SIKAOI(鹿追町）是位在國道274號線上的道路休息站。鹿追町致力於高級食材魚子醬的原料鱘魚的養殖，為了要宣傳因此在休息站的入口處有鱘魚在內的水槽。商店內也有販賣町內產的各式各樣的特產品（蕎麥、牛蒡、豆類製品、然別湖的鱒魚和紅點鮭的甘露煮、木製玩具、陶器等）。

Shikaoi (Shikaoi Town) is a road station on route 274. This town has recently focused on growing sturgeon for production of expensive caviar, or sturgeon roe. To spread word of this sturgeon project, the road station houses a water tank exhibiting sturgeon. In the shop, local specialty food and goods are there; including buckwheat noodles, snacks using burdock, raw and cooked beans, cooked landlocked salmon, and mountain trout with sweet sauce. Landlocked salmon are known as "yamame" and mountain trout as "iwana" in Japanese. They live in Lake Shikaribetsu. In addition, there are wooden toys and pottery.
