北海道海鳥中心 / Hokkaido Seabird Center

北海道海鳥中心（位於羽幌町）是日本唯一的專攻海鳥的博物館型學習設施。羽幌町有被稱作海鳥樂園的天売島。除了有進行海鳥的調查與研究和瀕臨絕種的崖海鴉的保護和增加數量之外，也進行以保全海洋環境為主題的教育事業。這裡有海鳥的標本、鳥蛋和鳥巢的展示物品。也有海鳥繁殖地的懸崖的展示模型。

Hokkaido Seabird Center (Haboro Town) is a museum like educational institution. It’s the only facility focusing on seabirds in Japan. Teuri Island, known as a paradise for seabirds, belongs to Haboro Town. This institution researches and studies seabirds on the island, and serves to protect the common murre, which is in danger of extinction. Moreover, they have a role to educate society in ocean environmental preservation. To facilitate this role, they have various exhibitions such as stuffed seabirds, eggs and nests. There is a tall model in atrium-style model resembling a real cliff where seabirds make nests, which is as rises up as high as the third story.
