標茶町鄉土館 / Shibecha Historic Museum

標茶町土館(位於標茶町塘路湖畔)是可以學習開拓歷史的教學設施。這裡展示著周遭的動植物、昆蟲、古代的遺跡以及近代開拓當時所使用的生活道具。1885年,日本政府在標茶設立了看守所,將本州的犯人送到這裡。一直到1901年看守所關閉之前,犯人們從事著開拓的工作。看守所所長的辦公室作為土館而重新使用。

Shibecha Historic Museum (on the lakeside of Lake Toro in Shibecha Town) is a comprehensive learning facility of the town and its history. Stuffed animals and birds which live around the town are on show, and specimens of local insects are also exhibited. Visitors can learn about prehistoric sites in the town, and everyday goods used in the late 19th and early 20th century. In 1885, the government established a prison there and many prisoners were sent from Honshu. They were engaged in cultivating land and such, until the prison closed in 1901. The building of this museum is the former head office of the prison.












Stella★HONBETSU / Stella ★ Hombetsu

Stella★HONBETSU(位於本別町)是再次使用於2006年廢止的「故銀河鐵路」的本別車站所建成的道路休息站。位在國道242號線上。作為地區的商業活動的據點設施,裡面有郵局和觀光諮詢處。此外,也有販賣農產品的商店、餐廳和麵包店。本別町以出產豆類而有名,這裡也有販賣許多豆類加工食品。

Stella ★ Hombetsu (Hombetsu Town) is a road station on route 242. This building was used as a station on Furusato Ginga Line, which was demolished in 2006. As the name of this road station suggests, the area around Hombetsu Town is famous for its beautiful night sky. In Japanese, Ginga means Milky Way. This road station also fulfils the role of a community center for local people. There is a post office and a tourist information desk. It also houses a restaurant, a bakery, and a shop which sells agricultural products. They sell various bean products on account of Hombetsu being famous for beans farming.








蝦夷松鼠 / Ezo Risu - Hokkaido squirrel

蝦夷松鼠是歐亞紅松鼠的亞種,只棲息在北海道。特徵是毛會豎立起來的耳朵。在靠近山區的札幌市區內的公園也看得到。即使人靠得很近也不會被嚇跑。可愛的身姿很受歡迎。活動時間依照季節而不同。春天是早晨,夏天是日出到日落為止,秋天是中午時間活動。因為不需要冬眠所以大冬天時多在早上活動。

Ezo Risu is a subspecies of red squirrel found only in Hokkaido (the English name is Hokkaido squirrel). The stand-out feature of its body are its erect ears, which are actually long hairs. It can be seen all over Hokkaido, even in parks near residential areas. In Sapporo, it’s easy to find them in Maruyama Park near Hokkaido Shrine. They don’t run away in the presence of people, and are very popular on account of their extreme cuteness. Ezorisu don't hibernate, and are active in the morning in spring, from sunrise to sunset during summer, in the daytime in autumn, and in the morning in winter.




極光小鎮93Rikubetsu / Aurora Town 93 Rikubetsu

極光小鎮93Rikubetsu(位於陸別町)是在1993年,作為故銀河鐵路的車站開始營運。之後,也增加了道路休息站的功能。故銀河鐵路在2006年廢止,至今仍保留車輛和鐵路。作為也可以體驗駕駛火車的道路休息站而有名。也有住宿設施。陸別町冬季時氣溫會下降到-30度,是日本最寒冷的城鎮而為人所知。車站前面也有溫度計。

Aurora Town 93 Rikubetsu (Rikubetsu Town) is a road station now, but originally it was a station on the Furusato Ginga Line railway, which opened in 1993 after the line was purchased from JR Hokkaido. In 2000, road station facilities were opened at the station. After the railway company unfortunately went bankrupt, and the line decommissioned, only the road station remains. They preserve railway cars; and it has gained fame as a place where ordinary people can experience driving a train, even if only a short distance. On the second floor, there is a hotel. As Rikubetsu is very cold in winter, there is a thermometer in front of the building, which in winter can reach minus 30 degrees or lower.






Ashoro銀河大廳21 / Ashoro Ginga Hall 21

Ashoro銀河大廳21(位於足寄町)是位在國道241號和國道242號的交叉點上的道路休息站。是位在北見·網走地區和釧路地區、十勝地區相連結的交通要處。將故銀河鐵路(2006年廢止)的舊車站遺址再次使用。休息站內重現火車站月台的獨特設計,也有許多鐵道迷專程到訪。也有展示足寄町出生的歌手-松山千春的相關資料。

Ashoro Ginga Hall 21 (Ashoro Town) is a road station at the intersection of Route 241 and Route 242. The location is an important junction between the Kitami, Abashiri, Kushiro and Tokachi districts. This road station was constructed using a reconstruction of the old station building on the former railway line. The Furusato Ginga Line was decommissioned in 2006. Furusato stands for home town in our mind, and Ginga means galaxy in English. There is a used platform in the building, so a lot of railways fans also visit here. There is an exhibition room for Chiharu Matsuyama, a famous singer born in Ashoro.








蝦夷雪兔 / Ezo Yuki Usagi

蝦夷雪兔是雪兔的亞種,只棲息在北海道。是世界上16種雪兔亞種的其中之一。在北海道棲息在平原或山區。和棲息在本州以南的野兔比起來耳朵較短。被認為是因為要減少從耳朵排放的熱量。夏天的毛色是薄茶褐色,冬天的毛色為純白色。活動時間主要是在夜晚,但在冬季時白天也會活動。

Ezo Yuki Usagi is a subspecies of mountain hare. There are 16 subspecies in the world, with the Ezo Yuki Usagi being found only in Hokkaido. Ezo is the old name of Hokkaido, yuki means snow, and usagi means hare or rabbit. Their distinguishing feature is ears which are somewhat shorter than those of usual hares. The reason for this is said to be that Hokkaido is cold, and they want to maintain their body temperature. In summer, their fur is light grayish brown. However, in winter, it transforms to a beautiful white. Typically they are nocturnal in summer, but in winter they venture out in the daytime as well.




稚內車站 - 日本最北端的鐵路車站 / JR Wakkanai Station: the northernmost station in Japan

稚內車站是日本最北端的鐵路車站。JR宗谷本線的終點站,有從札幌站和旭川站來回出發的普通列車和快速列車。在這裡下車的許多觀光客會和最北端車站的告示牌一起攝影留念。其中最熱門的攝影地點是「最北端的鐵道」的藝術告示牌。上面寫著從最南端的西大山站(鹿兒島縣)到稚內有連結鐵道線路。

JR Wakkanai Station, which is the last stop of the JR Souya Line, is the northernmost station in Japan. Not only local trains, but also limited express trains run between Sapporo and Wakkanai, and between Asahikawa and Wakkanai. A lot of tourists like to have their photos taken soon after alighting from the train. This is because there are signs and art installations to show it is northernmost station. The most popular spot is the one showing the northernmost point of all railway tracks in Japan. It also writes that it reaches Nishi Daisen Station in Kagoshima Prefecture, which is the southernmost station.
