Cape Kamui

Cape Kamui (Shakotan Town) is at the tip of Shakotan Peninsula in the Sea of Japan. There is a 770 meter path from the car park to the tip, and it takes about 40 minutes one-way. People can see the blue ocean on both sides while walking down the narrow path. Kamui Iwa, a symbolic vertical rock, is in front of the observation deck. The 330 degree horizon makes us feel the earth is a sphere. Ezo Kanzo, a kind of lily only found in Hokkaido, blooms orange at the beginning of summer. There is a restaurant and shop at the parking area.
