Date歷史之森公園 / Date Rekishi-no Mori Park

Date Rekishi-no Mori Park (Date City) is the biggest park in the city, and there are comprehensive facilities for local people and tourists to enjoy. The main entrance is next to Date City's road station, and is designed like a Japanese castle. At Reimeikan, which is a craft studio, visitors can see Japanese sword craftsmen in action. This is the only place in Hokkaido where Japanese swords are made. As Date City is famous for indigo dyeing, Reimeikan also offers a dyeing experience for tourists at the reasonable price of 550 yen to make your own towel. This park also houses admission free historical buildings.
