Iwanai(岩內町)是接近港口的道路休息站。除了町內的名產之外,也有販賣吉祥物-「Tara丸」的周邊商品。也接近販賣新鮮的海產和其加工食品的Tara丸市場。「Tara」從日文鱈魚而來。「丸」為昔日男孩子常用的名字。位在也有後志屈指可數規模的木田金次郎美術館(需參觀門票)的海洋公園前面。
Iwanai (Iwanai Town) is a road station near
the port. They sell the town's specialties and Tara Maru, which is Iwanai’s
mascot, goods. Tara refers to cod fish and Maru was a popular name for boys in
ancient times. In front of this road station, there is Marine Park, which has
playground facilities for kids. Also, Kida Kinjiro Museum, which is a paid
museum and is recognized as one of biggest museums in Shiribeshi District, is
in the park. Many pictures, such as oil paintings focusing on Iwanai
landscapes, are exhibited. Tara Maru Market selling fresh seafood and processed
food, is not far.
