Reku-no Mori

Reku-no Mori(休閒森林,位於厚沢部町)是位在町的南西部約90公頃的公有森林。正式名稱為土橋自然觀察教育森林。這個森林為絲柏樹自然生長的最北線,也是冷杉自然生長的最南線。在可以看到約560種植物的原始森林中孕育出各式各樣的動物、鳥類、昆蟲等生命。可以在被稱作森林展示館的遊客中心學習生態系統。


Reku-no Mori (Assabu Town), which means Recreation Forest in Japanese, is spread over 90 hectares. This town-owned forest is in the south-western part of Assabu Town. Its proper name is Tsuchihashi Nature Observation and Education Forest. People can enjoy walking and camping there. This forest is the northernmost point where Hiba, a kind of cypress, can grow; and is the southernmost point for Todomatsu, a kind of pine tree, to grow. In Reku-no Mori, there are more than 560 types of plant. Animals, birds and insects also live there. At Shinrin Tenjikan, which means Forest Exhibition Center, people can learn about its ecological system.
