上之國Monju(位於上之國町)是在國道228號沿線上的道路休息站,位置在面向海邊的山丘上。執掌智慧的佛,由文殊菩薩的由來的文殊岩在距離約20公尺的地點。延伸抵達到海邊的岩石的步道被稱作「神之道」,可以欣賞到海岸線和海洋的絕境。因為有海之神的龍神為了要與山之神相會而通過了此地的傳說而被稱作「神之道」。
Kaminokuni Monju (Kaminokuni Town) is a road station on route 228 on a cliff facing the Sea of Japan. A big rock named Monju Iwa is in the sea just 20 meters off the cliff. Monju stands for an incarnation of Buddha, which takes charge in wisdom. From the road station, there is a short path to the tip of the cliff. Visitors can admire the panoramic view there. The path is called Kami-no Michi - Kami is deity in Japanese. According to a myth, a deity of sea called Ryujin travels the path to see a deity of mountain.
